Heather Cummings Jensen is a Political Leadership Coach, writer, and conversation host specializing in creating a space for political leaders to develop themselves to become masterful, powerful leaders.
Heather’s work as a political leadership coach is a product of her deeply held values and caring for the world. Through her world travels, including a train ride chartered by the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom that stopped in St. Petersburg, Kiev, Bucharest, Sofia, Istanbul, Odessa, Almaty and Beijing, she realized all world politics are connected. Seemingly isolated western policies have an impact around the world.
Because of this, Heather recognized that there is an emerging need in the American political system for a structure that supports leaders in stopping to reflect upon the issues at hand, assessing these issues in light of their values for democracy, and consciously deciding upon the next steps for their political leadership. To provide this structure for those in public service, Heather shifted the focus of her coaching practice to working with political leaders.
Heather is the co-author of Winning Without Compromising Yourself, a groundbreaking book introducing coaching to visionary political leaders. Being a part of this book, she hopes to make the political process one that would be engaging and uplifting, so much so that people would naturally want to be involved and take responsibility for their communities.
Heather graduated cum laude from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a degree in Women’s Studies and an emphasis in Politics. She received her coaching certification through the Coaches Training Institute. Additionally, Heather has received accreditation through the International Coach Federation.
